They say it’s impolite to ask a squid how much it weighs, but I asked Google anyway.
There was once a colossal squid caught that was 1,091 pounds.
Colossal Squid
The name is probably a good starting point. This 1,000 pound squid was a colossal squid. Colossal squids are one of the largest known species of squid and are known for being, well, colossal. Even bigger than the more popular, giant squid.
The 1,000 Pound Squid
The poor squid (RIP) that was 1,091 pounds was caught by some meany fishermen in Antarctic waters. It happened in 2007 and I still grieve about it today. It was 33 feet long and, again, 1,091 pounds. That’s over 1,000.
